Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Access for Students

Welcome Students!

We want to introduce an exciting new technology solution that you now have access to. ACCS has implemented a state-of-the-art Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) that all students can utilize. This application is accessible from anywhere with an Internet connection.

We have provided login instructions and a video link below that discusses the benefits of using the VDI. Additionally, we have created a Feedback Form where users can submit suggestions for improving the solution. You will also find a link to the VDI in your Ellucian Experience portal (MyCACC).

Key Features

• Access from Anywhere – Whether at home, in the office, or on campus, VDI makes accessing your applications seamless and secure.
• Use Non-Windows Devices – Access Windows-based applications on MacBooks, Chromebooks, and Tablets.
• Lab Computer Experience – Use the same software available in campus labs without having to visit a physical lab.
• No Extra MS Office Licenses Needed – Log in with your @alabama.edu account and automatically access your school-provided Microsoft 365 (Outlook, OneDrive, Office Apps, Teams, etc.). Your work is saved from session to session.
